BT Payphone Removal Consultation 2026

Overview

BT are proposing to permanently remove the telephone service including the kiosks and telephony equipment at two payphones:

• Mappins Road, Catcliffe, Rotherham, S60 5TH (Telephone Number 01709 379186)
• The Parade, Thorogate, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, S62 7HX (Telephone Number 01709 522790)

The Council is carrying out a public consultation from 1-22 April on the proposal by BT to remove the telephone service at the above locations.

Why your views matter

The Council is acting in the interests of the wider community in carrying out a public consultation.  The Council will consider all comments received and decide whether to return representation to BT.
