Section 6a - Residential Development

Please use this section to offer further details regarding sites suggested for residential use. In order to be considered as part of the Local Plan, sites should be at least 0.25 hectares in size or capable of accommodating five or more dwellings.

However, we are also interested in smaller housing sites where they may be suitable for alternative uses such as live/work units, custom or self-build housing.

Residential Categories

Market Housing: General private housing for sale or rent.

Affordable Housing: Including social rent and shared ownership.

Specialist Housing: Extra care, retirement homes, and supported living for vulnerable groups.

Live / Work Units: Buildings or dwellings designed for both residential and business work within the same unit.

Custom & Self-Build: Sites for individuals or groups to build their own homes.

Gypsy & Traveller: Residential pitches to meet specific cultural housing needs.

Travelling Showpeople: Mixed-use plots to meet housing and equipment storage needs for members of a group organised for the purposes of holding fairs, circuses or shows.

2. What type(s) of residential development are proposed for the site?
3. Provide an indication as to when housing development may commence on the site (from 2026)
4. If planning permission were to be granted, provide an estimate of how long it would take to complete the development, from the commencement of housebuilding.
5. Provide an estimate of the number of dwellings that could be delivered within each of the time periods set out below.
6. What is the proposed density of development (if known)?
