Section 6b - Employment And Commercial

Please use this section to offer further details regarding sites suggested for employment land. In order to be considered as part of the Local Plan, sites should be capable of delivering 500 sqm or more of developable floorspace.

Employment and Commercial Categories

General Industry (B2): General industrial processes other than those falling within use class E(g)

Light Industry (E(g)(iii)): Industrial process (which can be carried out in any residential area without detriment to the amenity of that area)

Research and Development (E(g)(ii)): Research and development of products or processes

Logistics & Distribution (B8): Warehousing, freight storage, open air storage.

Offices (E(g)(i)): Business and service hubs.

Specialist Employment: Strategic sites for data centres, laboratories, or "gigafactories”, digital infrastructure.

1. What type(s) of employment and commercial use(s) are proposed for the site?
2. What is the approximate size of the development (in ha)?
3. Indicate when the proposed development is likely to be delivered on the site (from 2026).
4. Provide an estimate of the number of jobs that could be created or safeguarded as a result of the proposed development or redevelopment. (if known).
5. Provide any additional details relating to the proposed use(s) of the site, including the anticipated development floorspace (sqm) (if known).
